Old Oak Tree
This tree can be found between the Visitors’ Centre and the Tele Centre in the main street it was planted in 1842 by settlers who came to mill the timber. More settlers arrived in 1897 to find gold unfortunately only small amounts were found, some of them planted fruit trees and our fruit industry began To celebrate 150 years of Donnybrook in 1992 a time capsule was placed near the tree-to be dug up in 2042 to celebrate our 200th year. |

Apex Park And Amphiteatre
This gives you access to the beautiful Preston River where you will find a swinging bridge over the river, you will also find that the amphitheatre is made from the local Donnybrook stone. The amphitheatre was constructed by Mr Les Combes who donated his time to add to the beauty of the area. Within this area you will find the War Memorial Free barbeques and plenty of grassed area for picnics and the kids to play. |

Cemetery Walk (Chinaman's Grave)
Turn right into Fleet Street at the southern end of town and follow the road to the cemetery.
Walk through the centre of the cemetery, and just inside the fence, turn right, and there at the end in the very comer you will see the Chinaman's grave. He was a market gardener who is Donnybrook's only murder victim.
If you are feeling adventuresome:-
At the left hand end of the cemetery just outside the fence, you can climb over the gate where you will find various roads that meander through the bush, some of which come out onto the railway line on the southwest highway. |

Golf Course
(1km out of town - going towards Bunbury) Take a stroll around our beautiful 18 hole golf course.
Tum left off the South West Highway whilst still in the 80kmh zone at the Donnybrook Country Club sign. Park in the parking area. Wild flowers and bird life abound. Please respect the golfers and kangaroos.

Walk Around The River
The Preston River runs behind the shops on South West Highway. There is a circular walk around the river.
Commence walking south at the river below Apex Park. (You can park your car there also.) You will come onto a sealed pathway. At the end of the pathway there is a weir crossing the river. (If water is running over the weir, abandon the walk.)
Cross over the weir and turn left and walk along the river until you come to the suspension bridge which will bring you back to where you started.
